Honey Mustard Chicken
A super flavourful, quick, and easy chicken breast recipe that is sure to become a regular in your meal rotation! The chicken pairs perfectly with rice or roasted potatoes and steamed vegetables. This recipe comes together in under 30 minutes and is gluten and dairy free!

- 3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 6 portions
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter use ghee or vegan butter for dairy free
- 1/4 cup dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp coconut aminos liquid aminos or soy sauce work also
- Pinch red chili flakes
- handful fresh chopped parsley, cilantro, or chives optional garnish
Season the chicken breasts with olive oil, Italian seasoning, and a generous amount of sea salt and fresh ground pepper.
Heat a large skillet on medium low heat. Sear the chicken without moving for 6 minutes, until nicely browned. Flip the chicken and sear for another 3 minutes. Remove to a plate. Add remaining ingredients to the pan (except garnish), whisk to combine and bring to a boil.
Lower heat, add chicken breasts, cover and cook for 5 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. If you like a thicker, more reduced sauce, simmer the chicken uncovered. Garnish with fresh herbs, if desired, and serve.
